The decision by Manchester City Council to close all but one of its public loos caused alarm amongst many of those who suffer from a weak bladder. Believe me when I say it is no joke looking for the nearest toilet. |

| The award was made to the Nationwide
Building Society when it decided that over the counter withdrawals
should not be less than £100.00. They ignored the fact that many of their elderly investors, who made regular small withdrawals, were reluctant to carry around large amounts of cash. Unusual decision given that it is owned by its members as a mutual society. Not so caring as its adverts would have you believe |

| Mr Clegg, the Liberal democrat leader,
said that he believed the Government should cut back on benefits
currently given to all pensioners, regardless of their wealth. We should
be asking Millionaire Pensioners to perhaps make a little sacrifice on
their free TV Licence or their bus passes " Mr Clegg told the BBC" Liberal Democrat ministers were pressing for the means-testing of universal benefits. Clearly none of them, if any , have first hand experience of the bureaucratic hoops one has to jump through in this type of situation. On the plus side, depriving Millionaires of their bus passes would provide employment for thousands of civil servants currently under threat of losing their jobs. |
