Reg and Ron Robot go hunting for a new Job |
|
| Reg and Ron are a couple of redundant Industrial Robots who have been replaced by more modern equipment. Reg is shorter than Ron and although they were manufactured to the same specification they were made on different days of the week. Currently they are staying with friends at the Newcastle Upon Tyne Electronic Scrap Recovery Company Yard in Byker and are hoping to gain employment before their Jobseekers Benefit is withdrawn. Despite the Governments suggestion that the retirement age may have to be raised to offset the anticipated shortfall in pensions there are surprisingly few opportunities for older robots. |
So if you find you've been downsized, re-engineered or offered a short term training position somewhere in Asia then don't pay any attention to the recommendations of these two as they attempt to find employment. |

NB. The Department of Work and Pensions disassociate themselves fully from the following documentary which was not made with either Lottery or EEC funding. The movie shorts you are about to view are in the Flash Format, and may take sometime to download, in which case you may be presented with a blank screen ( probably for several hours) This is not a technically sophisticated site and I have yet to learn how to construct a Flash pre-loader, so please don't bother recommending any improvements as suggestions will be promptly thrown in the waste bin.

The Webmaster would prefer not be contacted
and is trying to withhold his e-mail address to avoid being flooded with further offers
of marriage from someone called Olga
and products for his medical condition. However if anyone experiences a problem
viewing these movies then he would be grateful if they would let him know.
